A Few Words About Our Doctors, Management and Staff

Dr. Brian Hadden has always lived in Durham Region where he has been a very active community member; He has played on several baseball, lacrosse and hockey teams, curled, golfed and been involved in many community theatre productions.

Dr. Hadden is married to Darlene, who is also his office manager, and has two sons, Curtis and Mitchell. Dr. Hadden believes in “giving back” to his community, and therefore he sponsors local sports teams, supports music festivals, fund-raises for the Canadian Cancer Society, is an elder in a community church, and is always pleased to speak at local schools, educating children on the importance of eye safety and health.

Dr. Hadden attended the University of Waterloo for his Bachelor of Science, however, after his first year he was granted early acceptance to the Waterloo School of Optometry. Upon graduation in 1981, Dr. Brian Hadden established his first practice in Ajax and then expanded to his Port Perry location in 1989.

Dr. Hadden has always maintained a focus on the provision of outstanding vision health care in combination with excellent patient service.  To that end, his practice has evolved as a highly professional team of optometrists, and support staff who provide comprehensive vision and eye health care in a warm and caring environment.

Dr. Hadden is committed to the highest ethical standards, advanced instrumentation and the enjoyment of nurturing a long–term relationship with each of his patients and their families.  In continuing his commitment to provide quality eye care and treatment, Dr. Hadden has four outstanding Associates who have enhanced the Practice.  Dr. Hadden states, “These fine optometrist’s bring a dimension to my practice that is both impressive and appreciated and I could not work with more qualified and caring professionals”

Most people believe that their most valued sense is their eyesight because from the moment you wake up to when you go to sleep your eyes are working.  Therefore, vision is crucial to our day-to-day living and should never be taken for granted.   You must make sure that you look after your eyesight so that you will enjoy your vision for the rest of your life.
